About MOLBIO
A calmer, clearer way to learn molecular biology.
MOLBIO is an independent science explainer project. We publish articles, topic hubs, glossary entries, and interactive visual explainers.
Molecular biology is one of the most exciting fields in science, and also one of the easiest to teach badly. Textbooks pile on terms before pictures. Lecture slides flatten three-dimensional structures into arrows. Online videos are either too shallow or too advanced.
We're building MOLBIO as the resource we wish we'd had: visual-first, calmly written, and structured around real intuition. Start anywhere: a single article, a topic hub, or the beginner learning path, and build up an understanding that sticks.
What we stand for
Clarity over jargon
Every article is rewritten until the core idea fits in a sentence. Technical depth follows, never the other way around.
Accuracy you can trust
Explainers are reviewed against primary literature and textbook standards. Where the science is uncertain, we say so.
Built to be visual
Biology is a 3D, time-based science. Our visual explainers let you scrub through processes instead of memorizing arrows.
For students and the curious
Whether you're prepping for an exam or following a podcast deep-dive, MOLBIO meets you where you are.
Editorial
How articles are made
Each piece is drafted by a writer with a background in biology, reviewed by a second editor, and checked against current sources before publishing.
Visuals
How visuals are built
Visual explainers are designed in collaboration with educators, then prototyped as interactive components you can step through at your own pace.

How you can help
